Help Mike in His Fight - Robert Stokely

Michael Barnett served with Mike Stokely in Iraq and lived in Loganville GA (where Mike Stokely is buried) until MB went active duty upon his return from Iraq. It was during his post deployment physical that they found Thyroid cancer. Surgery seemed to catch and get rid of it.

Barnett and family moved to Kansas. Read below and if interested in helping, please do so. Realize economy tough on many but anything you or your readers could do to support this soldier, who has children ranging in age from high school down to elementary school, I would consider personal favor.

Dear Family and Friends,

Please help me support my husband, Michael in his fight against Thyroid Cancer. My team, the Thyroid Thrashers, will be participating in the Geary County Relay for Life June 12-13 from 7pm to 7am at Junction City High School. You can help by joining our team as we walk & cheer Michael on or thru a donation to support the American Cancer Society.

We are selling luminaria candles in honor or in memory of someone you love for $10.00 each. When you buy one we will place the candle along the track as we walk for your loved one. Please take a look at my page.

Michael was diagnosed and had surgery in June, 2006 when he returned from his deployment in Iraq, then in Sept, 2008 he had a second surgery removing over 21 cancerous lymph nodes and now May ’09 we just found out his cancer is back and he needs another surgery. Please help us fight against his cancer and all cancers!

Thank you, Darlene
