A Christmas Bleg

The man that I know as my father-in-law, the second husband of my wife's mother served in Vietnam from March 1969 - March 1970 at Pleiku (Camp Holloway) with the 179th ASH, as a flght engineer.

The one item that he "left behind" i.e: lost, in Vietnam that he would like back is his flight jacket with their distinctive Captain Hook unit patch. He lost this jacket on his re-deployment home, when it was "forgotten" hanging on the post of his bunk at the transit billets when his flight for home was called for immediate boarding.

I think what he really wants is one of the unit patches from 69-70 when Walt Disney had been added to the patch after the unit received authorization from the Walt Disney Company to use their Captain Hook Figure. A little about this authorization can be found by clicking on this line drawing from the Walt Disney Company:

A similar version of this patch can be seen below:

On the rare chance that the extensive network here on the internet could put me in touch with the person who found his jacket, I'd be forever in your debt, if however, I can find someone who has one of the Walt Disney patches they'd be willing to sell me, I would be most grateful.
